Fran Ackerman, MSW
Fran Ackerman has taught family therapy throughout the United States and abroad and has published professional articles in this field. Her major interest is Bowen Family Systems Theory. In addition to her private practice, she is currently on the faculty of the Hebrew University School of Social Work and has been on the faculty of the Ackerman Institute and the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic. She is married to Calvin Ackerman, an ophthalmologist who is presently doing research. She has three married children and six grandchildren.
