ROCHELLE FURSTENBERG

Rochelle Furstenberg, with twenty-five years of writing and magazine editing experience behind her, joins WholeFamily as Director of the Senior Center. Specializing in the arts and contemporary culture, she has also focused on women issues, religious and social topics, always seeking to find the balance between individual goals and commitment to family and community.

Her articles and book reviews have appeared in publications such as Hadassah Magazine, The Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle and The Jerusalem Post. Rochelle Furstenberg has worked as a scriptwriter for educational radio. She has a master's degree in philosophy, and began work on a doctorate in English literature before launching her career in journalism. She is married to Professor Harry Furstenberg, a mathematician, has five children and is a grandmother.

Her new involvement in Internet comes just as she herself becomes a senior, indicating that new challenges can be met at every stage of life.
