Jacoby is 42, married and lives in a small rural community with her
three children, aged 11, nine and five. She has an MA in anthropology,
teaches English as a Second Language, and writes. Cary is studying
sign language and is working on a project to document life histories
of the deaf elderly. She takes part in a women's book club and enjoys
travel, cooking and swimming.
