Grandma Charlie

Grandma Charlie has a Ph.D. from the University of Life. She has raised three children of her own but many others - including nieces, nephews, her kids' best friends and her best friends' kids - call her Mom. She is thrilled to be the grandmother of three.

"Kids today aren't getting enough guidance," she says. "Parents are afraid to discipline their kids. We need to go back to being their parents, not their friends.

"I'm not a maven. I made plenty of mistakes. But I know how important it is to be firm."

Grandma Charlie is here for those of us who need help with setting limits and being firm; those of us who fear we may have spoiled our kids - and those of us who don't want to.
