Shoshana HaymanShoshana Hayman, a native of Perth Amboy, New Jersey who was raised in Los Angeles, has a BA in sociology from Stern College of Yeshiva University. She is a certified childbirth educator, LaLeche League counselor and parent educator. Shoshana teaches childbirth preparation, counsels mothers and gives parenting workshops to parents and professionals based on the Faber/Mazlish workshops, How to Talk so Kids will Listen and Siblings Without Rivalry.
She will answer questions on parenting skills including effective communication with children, attaining cooperation in a positive environment, effective praise, building positive self-image, freeing children from negative roles, dealing with sibling rivalry; breastfeeding and weaning, preparation for childbirth and pregnancy and childbirth.
Shoshana has organized community volunteer projects involving the distribution of food parcels and household necessities to the needy and elderly.
