Shoshana Hayman

Shoshana Hayman, a native of Perth Amboy, New Jersey who was raised in Los Angeles, has a BA in sociology from Stern College of Yeshiva University. She is a certified childbirth educator, LaLeche League counselor and parent educator. Shoshana teaches childbirth preparation, counsels mothers and gives parenting workshops to parents and professionals based on the Faber/Mazlish workshops, “How to Talk so Kids will Listen” and “Siblings Without Rivalry.”

She will answer questions on parenting skills including effective communication with children, attaining cooperation in a positive environment, effective praise, building positive self-image, freeing children from negative roles, dealing with sibling rivalry; breastfeeding and weaning, preparation for childbirth and pregnancy and childbirth.

Shoshana has organized community volunteer projects involving the distribution of food parcels and household necessities to the needy and elderly. She enjoys plays the piano and guitar and loves to dance. She and her husband have six children aged 12 –24.
