Patricia Lawrence Pomposello is child of the sixties who dropped out of school to become a folk singer, married and divorced and married again, went back to school and finished her degrees and then divided her time between maintaining a private psychotherapy practice in New York and singing professionally in Europe and in the States.

She earned her Masters Degree in Social Work in 1988 after several years of experience as a residential counselor at Wellspring Foundation, a residential treatment center for the healing of emotional trauma. Her love of music led her to become fascinated with the study of healing music and sound and she continues to learn and to teach others how to use their voices to heal themselves. She has been known to take off for parts unknown with her pal, Annabelle (a Jack Russell Terrier) to track down elder women gospel singers and record their voices and their oral history. She also is an obsessed gardener, with flowers and trees and vegetables growing in every nook and cranny of her 4-acre mini farm.

Her husband of 11 years, a musician and music producer, died suddenly in 1999. His passing has provided her with a great many new challenges, not the least of which is to accept the process of grieving in all its many facets. This has been her biggest challenge to date. Their blended family includes five children and four grandchildren.
