Carnegie was right: People's greatest need is to feel important.
And notice how good and satisfied you feel when you do get reinforcement
that you are important. It affects you down to your marrow.
So what about your marriage? Do you feel important to
your spouse? How do you know? Do you let your partner know how
important he/she is to you? How do you inform him/her? How often?
The risk if you stop letting your partner know of his/her
importance, is that your marriage will wither and dry up.
Partners start leading parallel lives, or start seeking to feel
important elsewhere. The benefit of regular demonstration
to each other about your mutual importance is that your marriage
will bloom, and remain juicy and yummy.
So, start today. Call, write, e-mail, and contact your
spouse regularly. Tell, demonstrate, and communicate how important
your spouse is to you.
YOU ARE AT A VERY LOW RISK OF DOING THAT TOO MUCH!
