The Family Meeting

III: The Agenda for the Family Meeting

Every meeting needs an agenda and so does a Family Meeting. Here's our suggestion:

  • Post an agenda somewhere obvious, like on the refrigerator door, at the beginning of the week. This should be done by the next Meeting Leader (more on that in "Method").

  • Anyone can add anything to the agenda. Family members have up until one hour (or whatever you decide) before the meeting to add topics. Then it is the job of the Meeting Leader to decide on the order. If you have a computer at home (which you probably do, if you're reading this), print out the agenda for the meeting. Every Meeting Leader decides on his own style, font and illustrations. This is the time for your individuality and creativity to shine!

  • Always leave time at the end for brainstorming. This part is the most fun. This is also the time to add anything that is urgent and someone forgot about.
