Your big test is tomorrow. You feel like you will never make it - your energy is zapped, your concentration is gone. Then you drink a tall glass of orange juice with a ton of crushed ice, a cup of coffee with some nutmeg sprinkled on top, and eat a handful of raisins. What a difference, right? Now you feel that you may be able to do it, after all. You certainly bought yourself a few hours of studying, anyway.

So what's your best recipe? Do you have a favorite pre-test, pre-game, pre-date snack? Or what about a post break-up mood lifter? (Hot chocolate is a favorite.) Post your best recipes and the times in your life when you use them. (No alcohol or funny brownies, please!) One lucky winner will be featured prominently on this page! Good Luck....

Sara's Dessert Recipe

Sara's "First-Time-You-Cook-Your-Love-Dinner" Decadent Dessert

Chocolate Mousse Pie

Ingredients:

Ready Made Pie Shell
200 grams of bittersweet chocolate
5 eggs
2 tablespoons rum flavoring
Whipped Cream
Strawberries

(You'll need an electric hand mixer)

Break up chocolate and melt in microwave (2 minutes on medium should do it.) When it's done, stir with spoon and make sure it's totally melted; set aside to cool.

Meanwhile, separate the eggs. Make sure no yolk gets into the white or this won't work!! (You can buy a plastic egg separator spoon - they really help!) Mix the egg yolks with the rum flavoring. Set aside.

Next, whip the egg whites (with an electric mixer) until you see ripples and peaks (no snickers from the peanut gallery, please.) Set aside.

When chocolate is completely cool, add to yolks. Mix together with a spoon. Then fold the yolk/ chocolate mixture into the whites, slowly.

Now pour the whole thing into the pie shell. Freeze for one hour.

Add whipped cream. Freeze until almost ready to serve. Before serving, top with thin slices of strawberry. If sliced right, they look like little hearts.

Serve up to your honey! Thank me later.
